Week 7

Oops, forgot to post last week. Lost 2.8. Today's weigh-in was even better. Lost 3 for a total of 13.2 so far. This means I've hit my first goal of 5% and feel well on my way to hit 10% by the end of the year.

Week 5, Day 1

A 2.6 lb loss last night for a total of 7.4 so far. Very happy! My meeting was better last night. Last week, it was about two members and all the partying they did the previous weekend. I was pretty frustrated listening to all that.

I'm starting to feel more comfortable. Food and weight are not as much on my mind any more and life is beginning to feel normal again. Yesterday, we had a lunch meeting. I ate my soup and sandwich lunch before the meeting and wasn't tempted a grab a slice of pizza.

Week 4, Day 1

After a week with no loss, I lost 3 this week. I'm not sure if it was the scale or the fact that I started drinking more water and flushed everything out. Who cares? I'll take it.

Still haven't found the time to exercise. :::sigh:::

Week 2, Day 2

Lost 1.8 last week. Not quite the start with a bang I was hoping for, but I'll take it. Getting into this point counting is tough. I actually have trouble eating all my points.

It's amazing the amount of mental energy I'm devoting to this project. I think about it ALL the time. It's exhausting. I'm not thinking about food and wanting to eat. I'm not feeling deprived. But losing weight is always on my mind. I'm hoping this will lessen eventually.

I guess it's rather like quitting smoking. The first couple of months, I kept logging into quitnet, or checking my ticker, or otherwise just thinking about quitting. I got past that; I'll get past this too.

Week 1, Day 1

Last night was my first Weight Watchers weigh-in. I'm finally ready to make a real effort to lose all the weight I've gained in the past 13 years. I've made a few half-assed tries, some lasting even a few months, but I always end up giving up. My last serious effort was in the fall of 2008. I dropped about 20 pounds. But then the holidays came and you know .... the same old. I've put on 30 pounds since then. Ugh. I am currently the heaviest I've ever been, including being 9 months pregnant. I can't even bring myself to type the number!

I would be over-the-moon ecstatic to lose 93 pounds, which would take me from an obese bmi, straight through overweight and down into the normal range. I don't know that I've ever been in the normal range. My overall goal is to do by the end of 2011. That's a fairly ambitious, yet attainable goal of an average loss of 1.5 lbs per week.

My WW points number is 30. I hit it exactly yesterday. So on we go ...
